Eesti GBC is managed by a group of leading industry professionals in fields such as law, architecture, construction, professional services, finance and other industries connected to the renewable energy, sustainable development, planning, design and construction fields.
 
The World Green Building Council (World GBC) is active in over 90 countries globally. It is the leading global organisation driving positive and sustainable change in renewable energy, sustainable real estate development, construction, planning, design and operation.
 
GBCs in Scandinavia, Central and Western Europe, give members the chance to be a part of, share knowledge with and promote their products and services to members in other countries at low cost.

1. Export, Finance and Business Development
o Developing contact networks abroad and inside Estonia to generate new business opportunities for the Estonian real estate and energy sectors
o Attracting new projects, jobs and opportunities to Estonia (13,000 member contact network in 100 countries in the worldwide GBC network)
o Facilitating inward investment and finance to Estonia
o Reducing the cost of planning, construction and operation of buildings and projects through innovation
o Increasing options and products available for financing low energy, sustainable and higher quality projects
o Development of wooden house and concrete project construction industries
o Supporting the introduction of lower financial costs for low-energy, sustainable and high quality projects
2. Quality & Innovation
o  IT and automatiseering during feasibility, planning, design, construction and operation (e.g. LCC/LCA, BIM, building automatiseering, intelligent building systems)
o  Professional quality, certification, auditing and Estonian standards
o Guiding innovation in real estate and energy sectors
o Supporting improvements in the project and development lifecycle
o Enhancing the quality of the Internal living and working environment for improved health, longer life and increased economic productivity
o Introducing practical and cost-effective sustainable improvement
o Designing out waste, re-use and recycling, reducing site waste, reducing operational waste

o Making the business and regulatory environment more attractive for inward investment
o Encouraging the proactive use of law and industry self-regulation
o Lobbying for an improved regulatory environment in Estonia
o Acting as a platform for business to present government with an industry-wide viewpoint and requirements
o Monitor and support ministries and government in implementing EU and other regulation in practice
